Ours are finished with CeramicSpeed Bearings. You have two choices in terms of bearings. The first choice is our low drag, long life standard bearing with hardened-steel races and our super-round CeramicSpeed Balls. The second choice is our coated bearing, which uses those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. This bottom bracket works with cranks that have 24mm spindles. Bottom brackets have several variables, but within that, CeramicSpeed standard Bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. That's thanks to balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The CeramicSpeed Bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. Coated Bearings see another big bump in performance. The coated races see a 50% drag reduction and an improvement in bearing life of 60%. Performance can be tuned by changing the grease. All Round Grease comes installed, but can be changed for lower drag TT and Track Grease, or higher durability LongLife Grease, which adds a bit of drag but stays in the bearing when riding through messy conditions. BBright is the Cervelo bottom bracket standard found on most of their frames, save the P5. In order to fit Shimano and FSA cranks into this oversized shell, this bottom bracket, complete with CeramicSpeed Bearings, needs to be pressed in. The BBright bottom bracket comes with either CeramicSpeed Standard or Coated Bearings installed. Super smooth, super-round CeramicSpeed Balls contained in hardened-steel races are found on both versions. The Coated version has a metallic coating laid onto the races, making it even smoother and harder, resulting in lower drag and longer life. BBright is similar to BB30, but is wider on the non-drive side. As such, the bottom bracket for running 24mm diameter cranks from Shimano, FSA, and others, is unique. The CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. Thanks goes to hardened-steel races and CeramicSpeed Balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The cups come with CeramicSpeed Bearings installed. Both CeramicSpeed Standard and Coated Bearings are available. Both utilize super smooth CeramicSpeed Balls and hardened-steel races. The latter has an additional metallic coating on the races to further smooth and harden the steel, further increasing life and lowering drag. The design of overlapping cups extending through the shell for EVO386 reduce the likelihood of creaking and increase the reliability of the system. The CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings feature an average drag reduction of 75% compared to stock bottom brackets. That translates into frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set, which is the result of great design, hardened-steel races, and ceramic balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings are a step up as they reduce drag by 50% compared to our Standard Bearings and an improvement in bearing life by 60%. Italian-threaded bottom bracket shells are typically found on Italian-brand road bikes. The shell measures 70mm wide and has a 35mm inner diameter. This kit has all the pieces necessary to install 24mm diameter cranks, such as those from Shimano, FSA, and others into an ITA shell. CeramicSpeed bearings are pressed into threaded cups, then those cups are threaded into the frame. You choose whether you want yours equipped with Standard or Coated Bearings. Super-round, super-smooth CeramicSpeed balls rotate in hardened-steel races in both. The Coated version has a metallic coating laid onto the races, making them even harder and smoother, resulting in longer life and lower drag. ITA BBs, thanks to the popularity of Italian road bike design, still have a following. The drive-side cup needs to be properly secured, but once that's done, the system is excellent. 24mm cranks work better when mated to our bearings.
